about

Calcium carbonate

Sibelco high-purity calcium carbonate (CaCO3) is available in ground (GCC) and precipitated (PCC) form. It is used in a range of applications, including ceramic glazes, construction, agriculture and as a blast cleaning abrasive.

Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) is made by hydrating high-calcium quicklime and then reacting the resulting slurry with carbon dioxide. This enables the creation of products with very fine and controlled particle sizes, high surface areas, high oil absorption, and with different powder bulk densities - from ultra-low to super-high.
