Sibelco has earned WHC Conservation Certification® for three of its U.S. processing sites, recognizing the company’s conservation leadership and expanding environmental stewardship work.

The Crystal, Red Hill, and Schoolhouse facilities, located in western North Carolina, received the certification from Tandem Global’s Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) program, the world’s leading voluntary sustainability standard for biodiversity enhancement on corporate lands. The distinction acknowledges Sibelco’s work in habitat restoration, wildlife protection, and community-based conservation initiatives.

“We are proud to see our conservation work continue to earn recognition from Tandem Global,”

.
“This year’s certifications highlight the habitat restoration efforts of our teams at Crystal, Red Hill, and Schoolhouse, from wildlife monitoring and food plot management to the expansion of pollinator focused gardens and native habitat improvements. These projects reflect our commitment to measurable biodiversity outcomes at the local level.”

At each site, Sibelco employees volunteer their time to lead conservation projects and community outreach. Programs include wildlife habitat management, habitat creation and enhancement, and environmental education initiatives designed to engage local residents.

Jeff Ferguson, Manager of Environmental Affairs for HPQ

, added,
“Our teams take real pride in this work. The dedication of our volunteers has been essential to improving local habitats, providing meaningful grade-school educational events and ensuring these projects have a lasting, positive impact.”

WHC-certified companies voluntarily manage portions of their land to support natural ecosystems and the well-being of surrounding communities. Certification is achieved only after a third-party evaluation that reviews the scope, impact, and long-term sustainability of conservation programs.

With these new certifications, Sibelco continues to expand its environmental footprint in North America while strengthening its global biodiversity strategy.
