The American Solar Challenge is widely recognised as one of the most demanding competitions in sustainable mobility, testing vehicle efficiency, reliability, innovation and team strategy over thousands of kilometres of real-world driving conditions.

As a Golden Partner of the Belgian Solar Team, Sibelco has supported the team's mission to push the boundaries of solar-powered transportation and inspire the next generation of engineers.

The partnership reflects Sibelco's commitment to sustainability, innovation and advancing technologies that contribute to a lower-carbon future. Several Sibelco minerals are used in critical technologies that enable renewable energy solutions, including high-purity quartz from our Spruce Pine operations in the United States, which is used in the production of semiconductors and solar cells.
