Mr. Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan (“Venkat”) is the Non-Executive Chairman of Endeavour Mining Plc and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Blackrock World Mining Trust Plc and Weir Group Plc (resigned effective 31 March 2024). Venkat served as CEO of Vedanta Resources plc – the world’s sixth largest diversified natural resources company – from 2018-2020. He was CEO of AngloGold Ashanti Limited the global gold producer between 2013-2018, having previously been CFO of the business from 2005, and of Ashanti Goldfields Limited from 2000. His earlier career was as an accountant and restructuring specialist with Deloitte in UK and India. Venkat is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and a commerce graduate. He brings an exceptional skill set having been a CEO and CFO of global natural resources companies for two decades.
